Ilitha Network Launch

TruMD was proud to be part of the Ilitha Network Launch in Mthatha, a significant milestone in Ilitha Telecommunications’ mission to bring affordable, reliable connectivity to underserved communities across South Africa.

As part of the launch, Ilitha showcased its partnership with TruMD and how improved connectivity can make digital healthcare more accessible. Through TruMD, connected communities can access convenient online consultations with registered healthcare professionals, helping to bring quality healthcare closer to people wherever they are.

The launch was an exciting example of what becomes possible when technology, connectivity and healthcare come together with a shared purpose. We’re proud to partner with Ilitha in helping create more connected, empowered and healthier communities.

Heritage Day is a celebration of the cultures, traditions and stories that make South Africa such a vibrant and diverse nation.

At TruMD, we believe that our strength lies in our people and the communities we serve. This Heritage Day, we took the opportunity to celebrate the unique backgrounds, traditions and experiences that bring us together — while recognising the shared values of care, connection and Ubuntu.

Here’s a look at how the TruMD team celebrated Heritage Day 2026 — proudly embracing the cultures, colours and traditions that make us uniquely South African.

TruMD and Marula Mine Community Health Outreach

TruMD is partnering with Marula Mine to bring essential healthcare services closer to the Burgersfort community through a dedicated health outreach programme running from 11 August to 11 September.

The initiative provides community members with access to a range of important health checks and services, including eye tests and the issuing of glasses, dental screenings, audiology assessments and primary healthcare consultations.

Through this collaboration, TruMD and Marula Mine are helping to promote early detection, encourage preventative care and improve access to essential health services. The outreach reflects our shared commitment to supporting healthier communities and making quality healthcare more accessible to those who need it most.
